Davorn`s Place in Visalia

Last week I stopped at Davorn's Place for a business meeting. I was blown away on the delicious food and great service. Because of the first experience I returned with my family. Excellent food choices for vegetarians. Every dish so far has been excellent. Parking might be difficult but it's definitely worth the stop.

One of the few places to get delicious Thai food in town. It's always fresh, and it's nice that you can customize your dish's spice levels. The only con about this place is the long wait times, because it's such a popular restaurant. Definitely give this place a try. Highly recommend.

Never going back. Service was horrible. Waitress that took our order only came back once. Woman brought out our sushi and took off. No soy sauce dish, wasabi, ginger or chopsticks. Food was average. Prices are high. Pho came out, no bean sprouts, mint or basil. No drink or water refills. Loud Country music blaring from the speaker behind me. Chair felt as if it was ready to collapse. Waited for the bill... no bill. Finally went up to the register, Noi, the manager was rude and blew off my comments about the lack of service. Told me I don't have to come back, I assured her I wouldn't be back. Her flippant disregard for customer satisfaction was appalling. I dropped $95 for average food, terrible service, and a condescending rude manager. Will never return.

My mom and I enjoy this place. We both have favorites. The Staff is very attentive and courteous . They have moved to a larger and nicer place.

The Best Spicy Noodles!

Always great to be able to get vegan/vegetarian pho in town, plus Davorn's is s delicious! Here are some new photos of the inside, was unable to get to the back area as I was getting a meal to go. The service was quick to greet me as I entered, quick to take my to go order, but the wait was almost an hour. I ordered pho to go and it took almost an hour to get my food, on a Thursday nonetheless. It might have been a fluke, but next time I'll order over the phone or just dine in if possible. Regardless, the food was correct and delicious, service time was slower then I'd like. However, I would happily go again soon.

Holy son of a mother, this place is fantastic! This is some of the best Thai food I've had on the west coast. I ordered the spicy noodle and devoured it, despite the fact that the 4/5 level of spice that I asked for was more than I bargained for! I also tried the penang curry that my cousin ordered and it was very good. I can't recommend this place enough, even though I may have burned off my stomach lining. No regrets!

I love the menu. It has a great selection of items. Every thing I have had has been great tasting.

Food is pretty good but the wait time is horrible. Called 3 times no answer, came in to order and waited 45mins for my food. Waitress said they were bagging my food which took 15 minutes to do. Service is not good at all.

Food was excellent, but service meadocre at best. Never a refill on tea or water and was not asked how everything was. Will order to go if I decide to eat there again.

I had the hot basil stir fry, and fried tofu. It was fantastic. Service was quick. Prices are relatively good. The food was beautiful, hearty portions, and nicely spiced. I might eat here in the regular.

The food is fabulous. Pro; hot and delicious Con; took forever to get our foodCon/pro; price is high like average 12-20 dollars. But understandable since food is good.CON! Service was sad and lazy. Occasionally someone would come and give us water but most of the time hung out at the front by register. Overall if you want fast/good service and cheap/affordable food keep moving that’s not how it is but if you want a good meal and service that won’t bother you and can afford them then for sure go for it.

So far I've tried just a couple of dishes and they've been very very good

Food was great but zero service. Not one refill on my drink. No one came by to check in just dropped off food. Wasn't because it was busy. Only a few tables.

Love the new location; it’s a lot bigger. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Pad Thai, Thai tea, and pot stickers were all good. Staff was friendly. I will be back to try the bar menu and more.

Great food...HOT MEANS HOT! Not American hot...Also, I'm not sure what the poor service comments were about. The hostesses / waitresses were great. At least 3 different people checked on us and supported our needs... You probably went there after the 1st of the month on a Friday or Saturday at peak times... "Why am I not being taken care of!?!?!"

This is our favorite place to eat for date night! The food is delicious and the staff is always so friendly. It is not a fast food restaurant, they make your food as you order it so it does take a little while for them to make it. But trust me it is worth the wait.

Every dish we ordered was full of flavor! Excellent vegan options (vegetable pho, mixed stir-fried vegetables and fried tofu)!Definitely recommend!

Food is always great! Fresh and Delicious! Since the recent relocation across the street Davorns seems a lot more high class. Food is still great but prices have increased to about $20 a person on average if you get a dish and drink. Still great but will be going less often as it is more of a special occasion type place. Great ambiance and incredible staff. 5 stars for me.

Worse service ever. They can't handle the restaurant with 20 people. Drinks came 30 minutes after we ordered and they messed up my order, they also had a happy hour going which they gave us the wrong price.

First time here, won't be my last, great food, friendly service . Was packed and I noticed they are moving across the street into the old Wagon Wheel...Had the Pho, was decent but could have used a lot more protien and less noodle , Dragon Roll was good as well, hope they make a go of it across the street

Great food, friendly staff, gets really busy during lunch and dinner

Can't speak to the food, but the cocktails are AWESOME! First, I had to try the Chocomole, which was perfect. Not too sweet, with just a little spice to it. Then I had the Harvest Mule and it was really good too! A great combination of flavors. A bit pricey, but service was excellent. Definitely worth another visit if we're in the area again.

This place sure knows how to treat their customers. Regularly with a friendly demeanor. The food is conveniently priced, constantly tasty and clean.

Traveling through town and visiting family. They suggested this wonderful restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything from the spicy tuna roll which tasted very fresh to the salt and pepper shrimp. Spice level three was a medium level that was pleasant for those of you who enjoy spicy. I could probably kick it up to a four. The shrimp were meaty. The breading was not overwhelming. Perfectly balanced. If we lived here it would be a favorite.

While the place is a little on the pricey side, the food is amazing and they have a good selection. They were a bit busy when we went so service was a bit slow but that's understandable. Overall, if you like Thai and Vietnamese food, you can't go wrong here!PS. Gotta try the deep fried bananas!

Amazing food, not cheap but very high quality. Pho is pretty good value though, around 8 bucks for a large bowl with lots of condiments.

The food is goodThe new place is good The staff are 3 starThe manager is not friendly but she is doing her job good.The waiting time is like 20 min.The servers are a little disorganized and unprofessional unfortunately.They took our orders wrong, and it took almost another 30 minutes. So I recommend to ask your server to repeat the orders one more time to be sure. She is not bringing any wrong plate.But I give them 5 star because the manage fixed the problem.

A great place to have lunch the food is really good but the service is horrible. Waitresses will walk past your table several times and completely ignore you. If you are under time constraints for lunch I would suggest not to go there.

The staff is is amazing! they are always so polite and eager to help. They helped explain the menu to me. The food was very tasty as well.

My family of five love the food here. There's something on the menu for everyone. The Pho is great as well as the Spicy Noodles. They even have a kids portion for the Pho that is perfect. They recently added sushi & poke bowls, both are really good.

Excellent food with beautiful waitresses. Clean and very professionally kept with no wait to be seated.

The food was amazing! Fresh and good quality food will of course take some time to make so I understood why it took so long for my food to come. The new location was so modern and appetizing to the eyes. The waitresses welcomed me and family warmly and checked on us frequently to make sure we got what we wanted. Their pad Thai was the best I’ve ever tasted and their Chicken Fried Rice beats all the other Thai restaurants I’ve been to. I was never fazed by the prices because the food was just that good! For people who plan on coming to Davorn’s, I recommend on avoiding coming on Fridays and Saturdays because those days are the rush hours and the wait will be extra long. Even though the wait is long it will always be worth it in the end. Overall this is a great place to come and enjoy the delicious food and great costumer service! 🍜

I REALLY wanted to like everything about this place being a VEGETARIAN I ordered the VEGETABLE PHO with VEGGIE broth. I ate all the veggies & got half way through the bowl & see chunks of chicken and other types of meat, I wasn't able to fully finish the bowl & let 2 servers know of my concern they offered to remake it but I declined. Anyways they end up charging me for the bowl, I felt that wasn't right so I spoke up because I didn't finish my meal & the manager on duty or whoever of importance compensated me by taking off 10% she then decided to raise her voice become confrontational & offered me a new bowl- to go, which I accepted & walked over to a homeless person & gave them a blessing.

The food is good the service is great and I love the spice number 4 is the hottest makes you sweat but number 2 gives you really good flavor

One of my ultimate favorite places to eat. They are so delicious! I wish they would expand to Tulare!

I've been there when it has been crazy busy. Tonight was not one of those nights.... or server was awesome and the food delicious.. you have to try this place!!!

Love this place. Their slogan is "good food is not fast" although I've had good food, fast. This place is worth the wait. The food is amazing! From the pho to the currys. Stir fries to the sushi. All around good place. Customer service is good but parking is not easy to come by.

even though u can only take out its still the best out there!

The (pun-nAy) soup is amazing!!! I order it with chicken and #2 level spicy is perfect for me. With the sticky rice to dip in the curry broth. My bff and I come here about once a month just for this soup. It's my favorite soup in town hands down.
